In righteousness you shall be established…

Isaiah 54:13-14,17 NKJV
All your children shall be taught by the LORD,

And great shall be the peace of your children.

In righteousness you shall be established;

You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;

And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,

And their righteousness is from Me, Says the LORD.

These verses are so powerful! They may be in the Old Testament, but they very much speak into the new life we have, in Christ.

For myself, I feel that if I could just take hold of these words and impress them onto my soul, as a hot iron brands the mark of ownership, my day to day life might look very different!

As it is, I DO feel fear and anxiety at times. Try as I might not to (in my own strength, of course!) I have days when I just want to hide away, not engage with anyone and, ultimately, am rendered useless to the kingdom, in the general scheme of things!

And yet…

In righteousness I AM established;

I AM far from oppression, for I SHALL NOT fear;

THERFORE no weapon formed against me shall prosper!

That’s it. In a nutshell.

I know my words have power. And I know that God’s word does not return to him void.

Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief…
